1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Local storage and similar browser APIs can retain preferences on a device. Pixels, scripts, and server events can measure activity. This policy calls these technologies “cookies” for simplicity, even when the storage method differs.
2. Our categories
Necessary
Required to deliver the site and service securely. Examples include session authentication, CSRF and abuse protection, load balancing, consent evidence, signed viewer-resume state, and essential workspace preferences. Necessary cookies cannot be disabled through our panel because the requested service would not function securely without them.
Analytics
Measures aggregate use, product events, errors, performance, proof reach, and feature adoption. We do not load optional analytics until permitted where consent applies. Publisher-controlled viewer analytics may also be governed by the publisher’s notice and configuration.
Functional
Remembers optional choices or enables enhanced capabilities such as nonessential personalization, language memory, richer embedded tools, and reconnecting an optional integration.
Marketing
Supports campaign attribution and relevant communications. Showmesh does not use viewer behavior for cross-context behavioral advertising. Marketing storage is disabled when a recognized Global Privacy Control signal indicates an applicable opt-out.
3. Current first-party storage
| Name | Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| better-auth.session_token | Necessary | Maintains an authenticated creator session. | Up to 14 days |
| showmesh_consent | Necessary | Stores the consent decision and policy version. | 180 days |
| showmesh-consent-v1 | Necessary local storage | Keeps the local privacy controls synchronized. | Until cleared or replaced |
| showmesh_viewer_resume | Necessary or functional | Resumes an experience using short-lived signed state. | Session or configured expiry |
The exact authentication cookie prefix may change on secure or custom domains. We will update this table before adding a materially different first-party purpose.
4. Managing choices
Use the consent banner to accept all, use necessary only, or choose individual categories. The persistent “Privacy choices” control in the site footer reopens the panel at any time. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in and secure workspace functions.
5. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
When a browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, Showmesh treats it as an opt-out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising for that browser where applicable and keeps marketing storage disabled. Because the older Do Not Track signal has no consistent legal or technical standard, we do not currently respond to it separately.
6. Embedded experiences
Public Showmesh experiences are designed to operate without third-party cookies. The publisher may configure optional analytics, progressive identification, or integrations. The publisher is responsible for selecting a lawful configuration and presenting its own notice where it determines the viewer-processing purpose.
7. Updates
We will update this policy and the consent version when categories, providers, or purposes materially change. Where required, we will ask again rather than carrying an old consent into a new purpose.
